Bael drinks

During Phuket trip, I found an interesting herbal drinks, Chamm Herbal Drinks . It's a local brand so you won't find here in Singapore :-(

There are five flavours, Lemon Grass, Logan Pandanus Leaf, Bael, Roselle, and Chrysanthemum. The pics shown below:

I bought Bael flavour one, which is good for digestion. So sad that I couldn't buy all bottles to bring back to Singapore. But still, being impressed of its benefit, I decided to buy the dried one (to fit in my luggage). :-D

Me and Melisa tried this, it's superbly extremely easy to make, just put 1 slice of dried Bael in a cup, pour hot water, wait till 5-10 minutes, ready to drink....the taste just exactly like a tea. It's the best to drink it at night, so that the next morning, you can clear all of your s**t, clear clear clear naturally. I swear, no pain at all! I kinda like this one, much better than pills and coffee, hehehe....

 Dried Bael

Bael in a cup

Hmm talking about tea, I bought this ready-to-make tea leaf, too...Taste sooo heavenly tea!!!

 Blooming White Tea love shape!

 Pour hot water

Oopps what is that little pinkie!?

Leaves are opened and see there is a small flower, too!

 Taste so HEAVEN!!

Woowww it is sooo beautiful, quite surprised that there is a small pink flower inside the dried leaves! Based on instruction written, this tea leaf can be used up to 5 cups...Its too way fun to drink a cup of tea! LOVE IT! The scent and taste like flower, too...yippie...

Logos visit- December 2011

Last Saturday, Me and Chin visited Logos Hope ship which anchored in VivoCity. Being inspired by one of Indonesian blogger who joined this type of missionary ship, We hope one day we can join the ship, too...

Talking about this ship, it was started in Germany 1973 by the name of Doulos, the legacy of Logos. She was in service with GBA ships for over 32 years. The ship welcomed 21 million people on board and travelled all around the world. As a result, Doulos has awarded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's oldest active ocean- going passenger ships. The nautical miles shown that the ships has travelled around the world 16 times!

GBA ships purchased Logos in 1970, over 17 year she has religiously carried a mission of bringing knowledge, help and hope to people of the world. The ship welcomed more than 7 million visitor during her calling port in 102 countries. In 1988 Logos down in the sea between Argentine and Chile. There was no single crew member injured or lost their lives, even the ship could not be saved any more.

Logos II was constructed by Union Naval Levante SA of Valencia Spain and was renamed in its name right now by GBA ships in 1988, serving the people all around the world till now. Logos is also famous as the biggest floating book fair, carrying a huge library contains lots of books and helpful/ friendly staffs...sanctuary place for a book-fan like us :-D

Okie, enough for the historical thingy, find out more about the ships, here

Back to our little visit to Logos ship, here are the snapshots:

We end up bought few books to read. About the price of the book, it's so cheap but they only accept cash. The price of books not marked with SGD dollar or any dollar currency, instead it marked with unit. The Formula is 100 unit= SGD 4. The price range from 100 unit to 500 unit. Quite affordable, eh!? So I bought 2 books for myself and 1 children bible for Giselle, net net cost me about S$30 only. Little secret, me and Chin bought a same book which only cost 300 units. The title is secret but we are looking forward to read this book and have a brief discussion together...

For those who'd like to pay a visit to the ship, good news they will stay here till 4 January 2012. Then they will continue their journey to Cebu, Phillipines. According to their schedule, they will visit Indonesia as well.

DnD 2011 Best Dressed Winner.

Last Friday was my company's DnD. Dinner and Dance celebration which always held in the month of December.

FYI, I've been stuck in this company for almost 3 years, experiencing 3 times DnD and stock take already. Its kinda exciting and memorable event, hence its a chance to mingle around with other associates outside the team. The most exciting part is, the theme of DnD! Like last 2 years, the theme was retro 70s while every associates had to wear like agogo and afro style. Last year theme was MTV so we wore a star look alike costume, lady Gaga and Michael Jackson, lols....Then this year's theme is Kampung nite! OMG...talking about Kampung, comes to my mind really quick, those old fashion costumes, big mole on the face, unshaved armpit hair :-D, pregnant aunties going out to market with full make up on, and something like that, hahaha....Oh, My team have been forced to perform some more. Aarrghh then we have to pay $10 ticket some more! Luckily my boss paid for all of it, so no a big deal in the end of the day, hehehe...*otherwise I will turn Ingram upside down,  lols!*

So here we go, Bliss Garden @ Expo:

Oh dear, there was no picture taken during my group performance! Never mind, since we never won anything, but the best part is, my team (which consist of 8 person) have already done our best and we were very proud of it! yeah! After performance I changed my costume from Hotel-attendee dressed into a pinky elegant kebaya, hehehe....Well, quite surprisingly I still managed to fit into my old pink kebaya. *wink wink* these Kebaya was made 2 years ago for my sister wedding, good job, deb!

Then....after cam whoring here and there, here comes the best part of the party! Without my knowledge, my name is being nominated for the best dressed, together with 2 gorgeous associates which I think they are more beautiful and elegant than me. ( of course older than me :-D)  Okay, I had to come up on the stage, with other nominees. Ohhh in my heart, I hope its not another *sabo on stage, please! Well, it turns out to be sabo on stage! arrghhh I hate it very much! the emcee asked us to do some stupidity modelling and the winner is ME! based on the audience vote. So now you knew I am full of r*****h , lols :-D

Pink Kebaya

I got voucher $150 of winning best dress. Without further due,the voucher was used up to buy these, hehehehe....1 for me and 1 for my sister in Jakarta. Not bad, eh!?

can see my reflection!? 2 X ipad2 case cost $150

Health Screening 2011

I took half day leave for my health screening yesterday. I've never done health screening before so it was like first time experience for me. My company have allocated some allowance for its staff to do health screening once a year, I stupidly missed it last year and the allowance just gone like that. But this year, yeah I dont want to miss it anymore.

It started when I am back from holiday, there was an email from my director to encourage us to book health screening appointment by this year. The nearest provider is Raffles Hospital. Then I called them to book appointment. I decided to take a Raffles Lifestyle Package which cost me SGD 278.20 (incl. GST). Well, you can refer to link above or call 6311 2222 for more details.

There are 2 kinds of package which are Essential and Enhanced package. Off course enhanced package would be much more expensive. The point is the more check-up you do, the more expensive it is. But for me personally, I would prefer taken the essential package only because the price is reasonable (still within my budget) and I know that I don't need lots of check up. Overdo a check ups, well, it's just wasting time and money.  So here 's the story:

Reached there around 9am, I proceed to the registration counter at level 1. After showing my IC and fill in the registration form, they gave me the queue number (its 9010) and asked me whether I have fasted for at least 8 hours and I said yes, definitely, and asked me to wait for the number to be called. Waited for almost an hour, they took me to do ECG ( electrocardiogram) test. After that, took body measurement such as weight, height, body fats, and etc... I got very excited to know what number I am, well...end up knowing that number, really motivates me to do more exercise and lead a healthy life style. :-D
Okie tell you, my body fat is 24.9% and when I asked nurse what is the normal average % (well I dont really familiar about this thing), she said average is 19%-25% and she assured me that I am still at my average so no need to worry. Then I was thinking to myself, hey another 0.1% gain and I can be categorized as fat women so I've got to do something with it! See..what an encouragement!

Okie continue the story,  After passing urine and stool into the drop off box then they called me to do blood test. OMG they succesfully taken up to 4 tubes of my blood. Feeling not good about it, I quickly had a breakfast after that, waited for the next check up. My breakfast that time was a slice of cheesecake and cuppa cappuccino, hehehe....

Next, seeing doctor for a quick consultation and pap smear. Taken up doctor's advices to do more exercise and watch diet such as replacing junkie food with fruits and vegetables.

Next, proceed to cashier for payment. Then fix the date to take the lab test. Its only 2 weeks to get the result but I postponed it till next January's appointment due to my busy schedule. So see you Raffles, in next year. I hope the result will be good.

I recommend for you guys to consider Raffles to do health screening , do book appointment beforehand and try to book a morning/ weekdays appointment to avoid crowd.

Phuket- Day 5

This is the last day of my holiday.

We have morning flight back to Singapore so we've got a very quick breakfast. Mr Lim fetched us to Phuket International Airport. Oh I would miss Mr Lim, He such a nice and friendly driver. Very good service and cosy van, too.... Thanks to Yuli for the transport arrangement! :-D

 Mr Lim and Van

Leaving on a jet plane

Last shot in Airport with cutie baby!

Thanks God for the good weather during the flight though I was falling a sleep again, hahaha I think I am sleep-traveller.

In this post, I would like to thank all of my friends, who organized and made this wonderful holiday trip possible. For all the guys, who organized, booked itinerary and accommodation. For all the girls, whom we had wonderful shopping time together. I am looking forward for the next holiday trip yeah, count me in :-D

Phuket- Day 4

Day 4 in Phuket was soooo relax. Today our itinerary is only went back to Patong and did some shopping at Jungceylon shopping mall.

The journey from Koh Phi Phi Don to Phuket was about 2 hours by ferry. The ferry was very slow so It can't be helped that I fall asleep throughout the journey. Reached Phuket Island, Mr Lim (remember the first day driver?) fetched us back to Safari Beach Hotel.

Then we went to Jungceylon which only a few steps away from our hotel. We settled our lunch at basement food court named Haven. I ordered Mango sticky rice for THB 70. And I found this Herbal drink, Chamm just at the corner of the food court. I think it's a local brand as I never saw this brand before. I decided to give it a try since its very cheap, it was like THB 40 per bottle, buy 3 for only THB 100.

 Mango Sticky Rice THB 70

Chamm Herbal Drinks

I tried Bael's Chamm Herbal drink at last. FYI, Bael is a kind of fruits which only grow in certain region such as Thailand, Cambodia, and Philippine and it's contain most- well known properties to treat constipation. After the sales person explained to me, I was like, OMG this is the drink that I need the most! Bought 1 bottle, drank without hesitation, then it's like less than an hour I excused myself to visit toilet, hehehehe....

Here is the snapshot of Jungceylon mall, Oh I just realized we didn't snap Jungceylon's entrance....

After shopping, the guys decided to patronize a massage while the girls, went to a fish spa. I've never been to fish spa in Singapore before so it was my first experience! It was very ticklish and three of us were like, laughing non-stops. Oh we got a 10 minutes complimentary back massage, too. Look at those fishes...

Last dinner in Phuket, we ordered lots of Thai food like crazy. the dinner was perfectly delicious and I loved all the dishes since its our last dinner in Phuket. I even took pictures with every dishes, hehehe....

Last dinner

After that, we went to pub where they have live band music. Most of us ordered cocktails, All girls ordered 1610 Sex on the beach. The funniest thing, again (oh my bad)...when the waiter served our cocktail, instead of saying " Sex on the beach", he was saying, " Sex on the Bit". I couldn't stand it any more, I burst into a very loud laugh oh hope the waiter not offended yeah. :-D

Our friends, Denny came up on stage to sing. He sang, "When you say nothing at all." by Ronan Keating for his girlfriend, Ike. Oh she must be melted that time hearing him singing whole-heartedly.

After a good cocktails night, we went back home and rest. Tomorrow is our flight back to Singapore. So sad to know that holiday will be ended soon.

End of Day 4

Phuket- Day 3

Take a deep breath...okie...day 3!

Day 3:  Phi Phi Island tour.

Woke up very early today. Still yawning and snoozing around the bed, I dragged myself to bathroom and take a quick shower. My body was very tired but my heart still feel very excited towards today's tour. Here we go Phi Phi Island tour journey, Start!

We were fetched by mini van at around 7am in the morning, the van was quite cosy though the driver ( no idea who is the driver's name) drove very quickly as we need to fetch another tourist in different hotels, too. After like about 30 minutes driving, we finally reached Royal Phuket Marina.

Royal Phuket Marina

First destination: Hong Island (Ko Hong)

The journey to Hong Island was like an hour by speedboat. Reached there, we were told that we can go swimming and snorkeling in the nearby area. The water was very cold and calm. There supposed to have some wonderful deep and shallow water coral scenery but there was nothing much to see as the coral was already messed/ broken up. First time snorkel, I don’t really know how to use its diving mask. Initially when I swim, I tend to make a bubble through mouth/ nose in the water. Using snorkel mask, there is no way to make a bubble through mouth/ nose as we only can breath in and out through 1 pipe. Well, it took me few minutes to figure out how to use properly. Oh, this where I got bruises on my leg, too...What an experience!

Second destination: Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai)

It almost took 1.5 hours to reach Bamboo Island. Although I have taken travel pill in the morning, I still got sea sickness and throw up for quite a bit. Bloody hell this was the first time I experience sea sickness! Well, reached Bamboo Island, not feeling good, I strolled and enjoying the sea breeze by myself while other friends cam-whoring like crazy. Feel bored, I chatted with our tour guide, Mr. M....Yeah forget to mention our friendly tour guide's,  Mr. M....He is quite kind and friendly man, very chatty and very informative, too. He shared how he loves sea so much and always guide travellers (like us) around island. That is why travelling by boat for him, is like his butter and bread everyday!

Third destination: Lunch break at Koh Phi Phi Don Island.

Fourth destination: Koh Phi Phi Don: Second snorkelling.

Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated island. On the other hand, Koh Phi Phi Leh is the second largest island with no population there. To see the interactive map, click here here. This island came to worldwide prominence when Koh Phi Phi Leh was used as a location for The Beach starred Leonardo DiCaprio. Lots of breathtaking scenery while we speed-boating. Here are the snapshots:

 The Cliff

Snorkel in the middle of sea

Fifth destination: Monkey Beach

There was nothing much to see rather than MONKEYS...Nothing impressed me, so let's go to the next destination!

Sixth destination: Viking Cave

The Viking Cave is located in Koh Phi Phi Leh. A sea-level cave filled with bird nests, this cave is protected by government so strictly no visitor allowed.

Bird's Nest Farming

Seventh Destination: Maya Beach

Continuing our journey to Maya Beach. The most well-known The Beach was filmed here and I am so excited to witness its beautiful sands and scenery with my own eyes. A lot of breathtaking steep limestone cliff on the way to Maya Beach.

Maya beach is the most favourite beach ever. White fine sands...Huge giants cliff surroundings...Clear blue water....sea breeze...Make me take a real deep breath and said how lucky I am to be there. Summer breeze, yeah!

 The Girls

All of us- Maya Beach

Last Destination: Koh Phi Phi Don and dinner time

We separated from the tour and take fisherman boat to Koh Phi Phi Don island. The journey took about 45 minutes and I really like this ride rather than the speedboat. Here I can see lots of steep cliff and enjoy sea breeze...No more sea sickness coz the boat run very slow :-D

Reached the island, we soon proceed to Phi Phi Hotel and checked in our luggage. Without further due, we strolling to the beach and swimming. No picture taken here coz all of us swimming!
After swimming, we back to hotel and get prepared for the dinner. The dinner was at Tonsai Seafood restaurant and the seafood was very nice. Here are the snapshot:

 White wine Clam

 Spicy Green Oyster

 Black Pepper Crab

Garlic and Butter Fried Fish

After dinner, the guys proceed to find a tour to James Bond island, which later we found out that we could not find any tour direct to James Bond from Phi Phi...so sad :-(   Then the girls went to massage. This time I tried Full Body Oil Massage in Tonsai Massage shop. It costs THB 350 per pax. After massage, we went back to hotel, home sweet home....

End of Day 3

My managers not around, great!! But my colleague on leave today so I've got to back up her for Vietnam region, My colleague in Jakarta rep office also on leave, too so I've got to back up her for Indo region. Phuket- Day 2

Woke up at around 7.30 am, breakfast at hotel. Be prepared for a day island tour, yeay!

We were fetched by van at around 10am, going to travel around Phuket Island and visit lots of beaches, here we go!

First destination: Karon Beach

The beach is neighbouring Patong Beach but slightly quieter. It was like 20 minutes driving from Patong to Karon with no traffic. Reached there, we soon strolled along the beach and cam-whore like crazy.

Look at those beautiful sand

Girls

Second destination: Kata Beach

The pleasant bay at Kata, slight human traffic compare than Karon Beach. I loved this beach because of its beautiful sands. Not only that, look at those blue sky, big waves, and clear water. Makes me wanna swim! Strolling at the beach makes me thirsty, without further due I patronized a stall and ordered an orange juice for only THB 60. Funny thing is, when waiter *so called* serve me the orange juice, I realized he said, Orange JUT instead of Orange JUICE. OMG! well... ever since I realized that ALL local people here pronounce JUICE as JUT,  hahaha...I knew its not good to make fun of other people but its hard for me to control myself not to LAUGH every time heard they said, ORANGE JUT...:-D

 Kata Beach

Me with Orange Jut :-D

Third Destination: Kata View Points

Likewise the name, Kata View Points its the highest view points in Kata. Here are snapshots!

All of us

Fourth destination: Lunch Break at Baan Had Rawai Seafood Restaurant

We settled our lunch at Baan Had Rawai Seafood Restaurant. This place serves the BEST young coconut ever in the entire Phuket! They serve all Thai delicacies such as Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, Mango Salad, and etc....After that, we strolled in the beach (again!?), cam-whore (again!?) and proceed to the next destination.

 Baan Had Rawai

Fifth destination: The Big Buddha Phuket

There is nothing much at this place except the HUGE and BIG Buddha Statue. As the place is sacred, we are not allowed to enter without proper attire. For those who wears sleeveless or mini short/ skirt, you are obliged to wear scarf to cover the open area. The place still under construction so there was nothing much to see.

Big Buddha

Sixth Destination:   Nai Harn Beach

The clock ticking very fast, It was 4pm in the evening. We proceed to Nai Harn Beach for sight seeing and strolling. However, the cloud was so dark and Its like going to rain. Big waves and big windy at that time. I was thinking to myself, I might get sick if I swim in this type of weather. But after seeing my friend, Donny, swimming like a fish, quickly I get tempted and follow him to swim. We, end up, not swimming...but playing water and jump over the waves like a happy 5 years old kid!

Nai Harn Beach

Seventh Destination: Promthep Cape

Quick one, we proceed to the Promthep Cape, just few minutes away from Nai Harn Beach. We decided to witness sunset there but the cloudy weather forced us just to shops around the Promthep area and cam-whoring only. So here is snapshot:

Guys

Me in natural wavy-long beach hair

Last destination: Concaved Restaurant at Patong

We settled our dinner at Concave restaurant nearby our hotel at Patong. We ordered Crab, Fried Fish, Sour steam fish, and Mango sticky rice. I forgot how much did we spend for 8 pax for dinner but the food was so perfectly delicious. Feel contented, me and Ike continued our *night journey* to a massage nearby hotel. She tried foot massage for THB 200 and I tried neck and shoulder massage for THB 250 for an hour. After that, we quickly home and rest...ready for the next day adventure!

End of Day 2. To be continued.
