Think Good Thoughts

Hey this song is really good, check this out!  It has been stuck in my head for these few days. :-)

"Think Good Thoughts- Colbie Caillat"

I'm just gonna say it,
There's no using in delaying,
I'm tired of the angry hanging out inside me,
So I'll quiet down the devil,
I'm gonna knock him with a shovel,
And I'll burry all my troubles underneath the rubble

When I'm alone in my dark dark room,
I have to tell myself to,
Think good thoughts,
Think good thoughts,
Imagine what the world would be if we would just,
Think good thoughts,
Stop the bad from feeding,

I won't let the negativity turn me into my enemy,
Promise to myself that I won't let it get the best of me,
That's how I want to be
Na, na, na, na

I'm not saying that it's easy,
Especially when I'm moody,
I might be cursing like a sailor till I remind myself I'm better,
Cause words can be like weapons,
Oh and you use them, you regret them,
Oh but I'm not gonna let them take away my heaven

And when I start feeling blue,
I remember to tell myself to,
Think good thoughts,
Think good thoughts,
Imagine what the world would be if we would just,
Think good thoughts,
Stop the bad from feeding,

I won't let the negativity turn me into my enemy,
Promise to myself that I won't let it get the best of me,
That's how I want to be

I just think rain on a summer night,
Stars filling up the sky,
Sunshining on my face,
Making a secret wish,
Finding my happiness,
That always makes me hold my head up high,
I wanna hold my head up high,

I wanna think good thoughts (Imagine what the world would be if we would just think good thoughts)
I wanna think good thoughts (wouldn't that be something?)
I won't let the negativity turn me into my enemy,
Promise to myself that I won't let it get the best of me,
That's how I want to be
Na, na, na, na

Losing my Religion

Losing my Religion (3- 18 September)

Part 1- Beyond what I feel - TRUTH (John 8: 31-32)

Here are the points that Ps Jeff brought:
1. God’s truth guides me: John 8:31
Bring God to every aspect in your life, breathe Him and feel Him in your blood, bring His Glory to your family, to your LG, to your work, and etc… God is definitely longs to lead you more than you long to be led by God.
2. God's truth liberates me: John 8:32
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatia 5:1). Freedom in the sense of free of sins and free to choose what God’s wanted to do in our life.

Part 2- Beyond what I Hear- TRUST (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

Here are the points that Ps Hong Teck brought:

1. Trust God beyond our own understanding.

Trusting Him with our heart, body, and soul requires us to love God.
Gospel + Human understanding= Religion
Gospel + Godly understanding= Wisdom
Like the bible says in Proverbs 4: 6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you, love her and she will watch over you.

2. Trust God by living it out Faith
Trust Him always that He will lead us into correct direction.  Trust Him in every aspects of your life, Physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, emotionally, financially, professionally.

E.g: Financially: I trust God will provide me when I tithing. Professionally: I trust God will make my career to expand His Kingdom. Socially: I trust God will use my talent to outreach or share gospel in order to serve Him.

Part 3- Beyond What I do- HEART (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

Here are the points that Ps Johanes brought:

1. Receiving a new heart that is responsive to God.

God is interested in our heart and longs to change our heart from stone heart ( stubborn and rebel heart) into heart of flesh ( soft to listen and obey God)
Obedience will take part by itself when the heart is responding to God. We as Christian, are encourage to ask and cry out for new heart.

2. Receiving the Holy spirit who empower you to do God's will.
The bible says in Mark 16: 17-18. Christianity is about what God can do through me. With Holy ghost with me, I can save man, cast evil spirit, and do great things.

This verse is really struck my heart: Jonah 4:2, " God is a gracious and compassionate God slow in anger and abounding in love, A God who relents from sending calamity. "

In addition, the upcoming sermon series is about transformers: influencing our worlds. Yeah!

Extra Virgin Minerals- The Body Shop

The Body Shop just released their new product range: Extra Virgin Minerals. It comes with the Extra Virgin Minerals: Cream Compact Foundation SPF 15,  Extra Virgin Minerals: Liquid Foundation SPF 30, and Extra Virgin Minerals: Loose Powder Foundation SPF 25.

First thing comes in my mind, what's the difference between the new Extra Virgin Minerals and the old Nature's Mineral?

First, is the ingredient, the new Extra Virgin Minerals using 100% Community Fair Trade Italian cold- pressed  Extra Virgin Olive Oil and ultra- pure mineral pigments. So your skin will be moisturised by virgin oil property while putting your make up on. In short, Make up + treatment at the same time, how cool is that!?

Second, is the packaging, well... it's still comes in black colour but the new product emphasizes on the usage of  Extra Virgin Oil properties. Here is the picture.

I've been using it for about 2 weeks and there are the things that I like and I don't like.

PRO'S: This product really provides my face a full coverage yet still can achieve a translucent pure-natural beautiful skin. All the skin impurities such as acne, acne-scar, freckles, white heads, black heads, and even wrinkles, can be fully covered. Even the foundation cream won't get easily *caked or *patched, too. Love this so much! :-)

CON'S:  Well, the olive oil property in the product is the best for moisturising the skin. And definitely not too suitable for my oily skin. I have oily skin. Very oily. I can find after few hours apply, my skin gets oily pretty easily and I have to always use blotter paper every 3-4 hours. Can you imagine a busy day in the office plus, a busy me blotting my face like so many times a day!? :-(

There are basically four shades available which you can find here. For me, I used the Cream Compact Foundation SPF 15 and Loose Powder Foundation SPF 25, both shade 102 Natural Ivory.

For more information, you can browse TBS website or simply visit the store.

Try it...and leave a comment or review of this product. I believe this product works well with normal or dry skin. Good Luck.

Losing my Religion and small little prayer.

Yesterday sermon is about Losing my Religion (John  8: 31-32)

Before preach started, Ps Jeff asked us to pair in a group 2 or 3, and start to pray one another. For me it’s a good opportunity to pray for my wish, as I longed to hear God’s voice again, to have a sensitive heart to listen, obey, and depend on God’s word rather than my own logical thinking. Thumbs up to sister Chin, for a lovely and encouraging prayer! :-)

Here are the points that Ps Jeff brought:
1. God’s truth guides me: John 8:31
The striking words: Bring God to every aspect in your life, breathe Him and feel Him in your blood, bring His Glory to your family, to your LG, to your work, and etc… God is definitely longs to lead you more than you long to be led by God.
2. God's truth liberates me: John 8:32
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatia 5:1)
The striking words: freedom in the sense of free of sins and free to choose what God’s wanted to do in our life.

So in order to transform those words into action, what I need is…prayer.

This morning, I woke up and my heart is filled with joy and freedom. And longs to give thanks to Him.
So this is the prayer that I dedicate to you, Lord Father.

Dear Lord Father,
I just want to give thanks to you, for everything that you’ve done in my life.
I give thanks for being here, in this life… that you’ve been nurtured me physically and spiritually, and draw me near to you closer than ever.
I give thanks for giving me a good family, a supporting and caring mother and sister (although I always feel like they always check on me every minute especially my sister who always texting me every single day)
I give thanks for giving me such a good friends and community which I can really open up (well…I am still trying to) and grow spiritually. Day by day, slowly but sure…Draw near to you.
I give thanks for giving me Giselle, never did I regret to have her,  She’s a cutie and smart little brat. Lol :-p . She is the apple of my eye and my remedy when I feel sick of this life. I love her so much more than anything. Thanks, Lord for this little princess.
I give thanks to this job, too. As there will always new challenges, chasing people, being chased, get frustrated when the things not done yet, and stuff like that. But it’s without fail makes me feel alive and sane every day.
So here I am, humbly present my heart and soul into your presence. Blessed me, guide me, guard me, walk besides me, in every circumstance in my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Clipper Green Tea

Hi,

Most of people understand that green tea is good for us. But if you ask anyone why it is good for us, they probably won't have an answer. Indeed, it has long been general knowledge that green tea provides support to the human body. Its best known of high anti oxidant properties.

Here are some benefits of green tea:
- Reduction in heart disease
- Reduction in bad cholesterol
- Lower the risk of cancer
- Helps in weight loss and body shape
- Increase in metabolic rate and fat oxidization

So realizing the benefits of green tea, I started to add green tea as a part of my lifestyle since a month ago. I finally found a good organic green tea, yet the price is still affordable (*snob laugh, hehehe)

The name's Clipper, It's one of the most well known organic green tea brand in UK. There are lots of products range like green tea, white tea, and coffee. If you are interested, click here , you can find this product at this organic shop

The first range that I've tried is green tea with peppermint. At first, the taste is like drinking Darlie toothpaste ( can you imagine that!?) . But by the time goes on, I found that the taste's really not bad at all...ppssttt...its good to have it in the morning coz the minty sensation can *wake you up better than drinking a coffee :-)

Now I am on my way trying second range of this product, aloe Vera and Citrus flavour. For this one, the taste is just normal green tea but the smell of citrus is really strong and tasty, too. I'd like to have it after lunch coz its makes my stomach digest very well especially after having those *big portion of lunches.

After finishing this, I plan to try chamomile and fennel . Not really sure what the tastes are, as I have not tasted it yet..will keep you updated again.

And good news for you, drinking green tea can curb your appetite, too....especially for those office girls who like snacking titbits (like me), You can replace it by drinking green tea. It's way more natural and healthier and of course, its good for your body, too. Thumbs up to organic natural products.

Good luck :-)

Deep Cleansing Regime- DIY treatment using Khiel's

Hi,

I just wanna share how to do a deep cleansing- DIY treatment. This is how I *look after* my skin weekly. It's very simple and easy, and most importantly, you can find all the products that I use at anywhere. You can do it once a week like me, or once a month, or any time at your convenient. Just a little bit of effort and time to spend....and voila...clearer, flawless, and no-acne skin can be achieved easily. This DIY treatment approximately takes less than an hour. Shall we get started? :-)

Here are the products that I use:

  • Kiehl's Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro Dermabrasion
  • Biore Porepack
  • Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

 My Holy Grail :-)

So the first thing I've got to do is, clean my face. Use normal facial cleanser, just make sure that the face clean and smooth so that the products can work well in your skin. Dispense a nickle-sized of Kiehl's Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro Dermabrasion, gently apply to a clean, damp skin in an upward and outward circular motion, avoiding eye area. Continue to work on for approximately 30 seconds but not more than 2 minutes, to achieve desired effect. Rinse with cool water and gently pat dry.

Kiehl's Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion

Then, use Biore Porepack ( I prefer black color porepack), stick in on your nose, and wait until 5-10 minutes to let it dry. The microdermabrasion helps to open up pores and smoothen black and white heads, while the porepack will clean and so called as *take out* or *suck out* black and white heads that can cause acne.

Biore Pore Pack

Me in action- using Pore Pack *lol*

Take it off gently.....and voila, see the result...hope that my camera can captured all the impurities and white heads underneath my pores.

Porepack- after use, yaks!

After that, wash your face with cool water and gently pat dry. Apply Kiehl's  Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque all over the face. It's optional but you can put your mask in the freezer first to get a *cooling* sensation. Wait 10-15 minutes to let it dry.

Kiehl's  Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

Do I look scary!?

When waiting the mask to be dried, its best to lay down or lazying on sofa/ bed so your face won't *fight the gravity. Remember not to talk or smile coz you don't wanna get your mask cracked, too. After that, you can wash your face with cool water and....done.

Simple and easy to achieve flawless and clearer skin, right?

Good Luck :-)

Hari Raya Holiday

Selamat Hari Raya for those who celebrate :-)

Well, Hari Raya this year, was not so fun yet still consider as memorable moment. *as*i*dont*really*planned*anything*on Hari Raya day*but*it*turns*out*pretty*well*not*bad*Deb, that kind of feeling, hopefully you got what I meant.

My cousins and his family (a family of four person) come to Singapore for short holiday. Family time. First when they reached my aunt house, they were like, "dont know where to go, can you recommend to us, Deb...."OMG, well I dont really like to go accompany them but I have no choice...

So since they gave me an AUTHORITY to decide where to go, so here are my plans (somehow it turns really well, hopefully they didn't regret to follow my plan)

Noon time- Lunch at Kopitiam and go Istana Park.
At Istana Park, can you imagine we've got to wait and queue super duper longgggg.....waited for almost 1.5 hours before we get in there and surprisingly, its just a huge and spacious garden with lots of grass and trees and a pond with lovey dovey swan. Well, not bad for family outing but somehow i feel like Istana park's environment same as Kebun Raya Bogor, Indonesia, minus hot and pollution indeed.

Spacious Garden

Evening time- Tea break and go Singapore flyer.
Well...after strolling Istana Park's Garden, we proceed to Singapore Flyer and decided to board the wheel at night time. To my surprise there is promotion for Indonesian tourist. A package of $65 for 4 person. But it didn't apply to me and Giselle so we've got to pay full price. :-(

 Singapore Flyer

Me waiting for the wheel

After that, we went home and had dinner at Kopitiam downstairs's aunt house. It was fun. The best part, I've got ang pau as an appreciation, for being a nice and informative tour guide for half a day. :-) thanks, bro

The end of the story: tired, my leg's cramp, and the next day still need to work, ooh life. :-(

Gel Manicure- Harmony Gel Polish

I am really into Gel polish manicure recently, well...although it has been already known in Singapore long time ago, due to some " reasons" , I didn't really wanna try it, until I saw one of my friends did it, and her fingers were quite nice. So about a month ago, I've decided to go to nail shop nearby my office and give it a try.

The nail shop's name is Misayaki, nearby Boon Keng MRT ( located at the market, actually). But don't underestimate "neighbourhood nail shop" . Coz they can do much better compare to those City area's nail shop. Thumbs up to Evon, sweet and friendly manicurist, who really patient in serving and doing my nails, she really explained to me all the process, steps, and something like that! Well done, girl!

So, here are the process:

  • Clean my nails with nail polish remover.
  • Re- shape nails to the shape that I want ( this time I like square- shaped)
  • Buffing, dry trimming of cuticle
  • Apply Harmony base coat nail polish
  • Apply base colour nail polish ( I recommend transparent natural colour for tanned skin)
  • Apply french tips or glitter tips in every single nail ( this is the most difficult part)
  • Apply top coat nail polish
  • Nails will be dried up by putting both hands under LED lamps for about 10-15 mins.
The differences between normal and gel manicure as follows.
For gel manicure normally they use Harmony nail polish brand. For normal manicure, they use OPI ( my fave :-) ). Furthermore, the time applying gel manicure is longer than usual. It'll take about 1 hour 15 mins to complete both hands. The price is double up than normal manicure, too. But I think if you sign up a package, they'll give special pricing and It's worth to spend on because gel manicure can lasts your nails about 2-3 weeks, compare to the normal manicure only lasts less than a week. And here is my fave part, gel polish dried up fast, either...Can you imagine you can immediately do your things (like taking out money or card from your purse to pay or even wash your hands) without worrying your nails will get scratched!? Fantastic!

So here is the pics:
First Gel Manicure

Second Gel Manicure

Well, in the end, I decided to sign up 10X package which they offered special price for member and free soak off gel ( to remove gel nail polish ) within 3 weeks time. Still have 9 more session to go...The best thing is, there is no expiry date for the package so you can do any time at your convenient. Suddenly I think to myself, why do I look like their sales, promoting and recommending their shop!? Well... Promoting and Marketing are already in my blood. I can't wait to share good stuff (especially about beauty stuff) to you guys so if you interested, click here....very super extremely exciting, can't wait till next trip. hehehe. Ciao!
