Day 5- Tokyo Trip

Day 5!

Remember that on day 4, we went to SkyTree but the venue was closed due to the bad weather?

Yep, we were going back there on day 5. And fortunately, the weather was good. And still windy! Ermm I don't know how to differentiate the windy days and non-windy days and not so windy days! :-(

Starting with breakfast before start the day. I need coffee and Redoxon for a booster, please....

Oh did I tell you that I took my Indo- medicine, Tolak Angin, like every night? Yep it's traditional liquid medicine, called Jamu, for preventing colds and keep stamina up. So at night I drank that, at morning I drank coffee and Redoxon. Results? still fall sick after my trip but not bad eh at least I didn't fall sick during the trip, but after. See at the brighter sideee.....

Okay back to the topic, Tokyo SkyTree, how to go there, again from our hotel, walk to Minowa station, oh ya! forget! we moved from our Horidome hotel to Ryokan hotel, Andon Ryokan at Nihonzutsumi Taito, just to experience the feeling of staying in traditional Japanese Ryokan hotel such as onsen, tatami, and all the stuffs. Andon Ryokan is located near Minowa station, still Hibiya line.
So here we go, using Tokyo Metro line, from Minowa station, take Hibiya line go to Ueno, transfer to Ginza line go to Asakusa, then take Asakusa line alight at Oshiage (SkyTree) station. Very messy ah I think I rather tell you using the map rather than explaining in words.

Buy the entrance ticket to Tembo Deck (350m) Y 2000

Nah! to proof that we were in Tembo Deck!

Here is the floor plan

and then pay another Y 1000 to get to Tembo Galleria (450m). After purchase ticket, queued up for the lift proceed to 450m high from the ground. The lift was superb fast!

Go to Tembo Galleria, just to see this.
What bravery two guys doing their job cleaning the window proudly!
Name of occupation?
Skyscraper window-cleaner. guy.
 :-D
OMG I goggled it and this name came out!

Bird view!?

Big mirror to self photo shot!
View from 450m high.

Neko-chan

NEXT! Imperial Palace.

Lots of photo taking and breathtaking garden scenery with lots of trees and flowers

The photos not in sequence. I forgot already the sequence so I uploaded all the best scenery la!

Starting from entrance...

Again...entrance.

Entrance pass.

Edo...something...map.
So terrible my Kanji, I just recognise first, second, and last character...

Longkang. haha.
I remember my sensei said, every castles used to have this type of longkang for water-barrier, then in this longkang they put lots of crocodile, traps, and etc...to protect castle from intruders or something like that.

Then proceed to have a lunch at Tsukiji. We had lunch at Sushizanmai because Edo-gin, the sushi restaurant that I wanted to try, based on good review and recommendation from lonely planet, they only open during dinner time. I was like...ermm its ok lah as long as can eat sushi I'll be the most happiest bitch in the world. Meh.

Here it goes, unsatisfied, I just ordered aka-carte sushi.
Like this ala-carte also costs Y 890

Felt contented and full stomach, we went touring city area, Akihabara, Shinjuku, Harajuku, etc...

Crepes is superbly delicious!
Aw! Tomohisa Yamashita!

Dinner at Ramen shop, choose our own taste of ramen!
from thickness, broth, spicy, special sauce, all served with our own preference!

Oh ya on that night, the weather was so cold till reach 7 C. So cold and damp rain.
Thanks to my instinct, even if the sakura season already over, there will be times where we cannot really predict ...you know...the weather. Listen to your own heart, not other people's opinion.  At least when things went wrong, I can blame myself, not other people's opinion whom actually they meant no harm. LOL.

"Bring umbrella before it rain", there goes old folks said.

Oh this is the public onsen provided by the Ryokan.
Not really public onsen, but have to book the timing beforehand.

The end.
