Week 25- Maintenance program

This week marks my 25th week on voyage with Accutane and Obagi system.

Hence my previous post, my last 2013's appointment with derma, told my disappointment towards my condition, even now my skin has been improved so much THANKS to this system, but I’m still ON with it, for maintenance's sake, well, I’ve got no choice….

I,  honestly, am afraid of everything.

I’m afraid with the facts that I’m still under Accutane.

I’m afraid with the facts that my face blush easily and so sensitive till to the extent,  I need to avoid the sun. (Indeed I know the feeling of Damon and Elena without wearing Day-Walking Amulet/ Ring)

I’m afraid that one day, the risk of getting relapse again, in future, once I stop this system and the Accutane off from my blood system.

I’m afraid of…literally…everything...

So...

On 2 Jan, as per my derma’s prescription, I’m down from 10 mg everyday to 10 mg every other day.

But still, Obagi need to be worn every day and night without fail.

Last week was my derma appointment again. And she asked, how did it go with this dosage plan.

After I told her everything, such as, sometime pimple/ red dots appear maybe one or two but will be disappeared within few days. Or face oilier during the day off of Accutane, etc... As a result, the derma asking me up 10mg every day again for another 2 weeks! Oh I almost fainted! But I discreetly not really obeying her coz I'm still following the initial dosage (10mg every other day) hahaha....

Changes:

1.     I always take Accutane at night time, the next day, my face will look flawlessly not oily. The day without Accutane, my face look a bit oilier especially T-zone area.

2.     No more muscle ache now but since I switched to Accutane every other day, the muscle ache come back although not too severe. I can sleep much better because of that thing, it makes me drowsy.

3.     Dry dry dry still persist…nothing changes….Oh ya, I have experience once I forgot to wash my hair for 3 days and it still not oily!

4.     Last week I have 2 small zits on the forehead and 1 zit on right cheek. It was very small and subsides within 2 days. The zits are red colour and very small. More like red dots rather than red zits, I supposed….Now having 1 zit making me feel so weird….you know what I meant? *high expectation now hahaha!*

5.     I’m starting to use Biore porepack for my nose coz the blackheads/ whiteheads getting more and more on this area. Come to my surprise is that, I think Accutane really makes my skin tissue quite fragile and easily to strip or something, I used Biore porepack and found it picked up lots of impurities and I really lovvveee it. You know, what I meant? What an accomplishment, right!

Good thing is that, almost all my friends notice it. They are like, Oh Deb, now your skin improved and so pretty (hehehe) but still, I can easily blush why oh why!??

Anyway, I’ve come to a terms whereby no matter what I do to my skin, it won’t get enough. I won’t be satisfied. So I learn to accept it. This is part of my body and I start to learn to love it, day by day.
Like an old folks says, Beauty comes from within…. Eating healthily, exercise regularly, grow spiritually, humble to learn something new, to gain wisdom, hunger for God's word, and cherish MY FAMILY. These traits are more important than anything in this world. More than just a pretty face.
Ok, that’s that! Thanks for reading my humble blog, readers! J

HK trip- Day 4 Macau and home sweet home

Day 4 , we went to Macau. It was pretty bad weather and the ferry journey was like 1 hour non-stop roller coaster rides.

It really scared the hell out of me. Sea sickness on the way back and I vomited all my heart out.  Haiz.

Okay, pictures!

Queuing up for Lord Stow's portuguese egg tart. It was the yummiest egg tart ever!
Btw, we didn't even go out to St. Paul church or any outdoor activities coz of bad weather. It was so cold outside luckily I brought all of my winter gloves.

Last day, went back home....our flight is in the noon time so we still have time for breakfast.
Time to say goodbye to Nana aunt and Kenny uncle.

Wait! I haven't finished yet! For me, HK was a good place to visit but it would be my first and last time visiting this country. Why?
  1. Firstly, bad customer service. People there are so rude and ignorant, no sense of helping tourist or promote tourism or something like that. First day, when we lost our way to hotel, out of 10 people, only 2 guys who willingly to helped us. The ratio is 10: 2. I know that they have broken English and resist to outsiders, but people asking for help also only reply, "I don't know". Don't even bother to listen further.
  2. We have difficulties to eating out coz goddammit the signboard of the eating places, mostly are in Chinese. The menu is in Chinese. But the waiter there speaks more Cantonese than Mandarin. My mom had to be the one who translate to us, with her limited Bahasa and it really stressful when it comes to meal time. Moreover, the portion is huge so I gotta share with Giselle, motherly feeling of mine, scared the food not enough so I ordered 2 portion for me and Giselle, end up cannot finish also what a waste!
  3. The food was tasteless. Chicken rice is cold and no taste, Noodles soup is cold, Porridge is dilute and cold, Pork sausage is hard to chew. What a disaster. All of those foods, I only like dim sum and yinyong milk tea only. The rest are disastrous.
  4. Luckily I didn't have time to go to Ladies Market or street market kind of thing, bless in disguise! I heard from my friend (or even online) that the seller there are extremely unfriendly and once you bargain, make sure you HAD to BUY it or they will scold you like their father mother business.

Ok, enough for the rambling, shall I close this post with the last two picture in HK.

Home sweet home.

Bye!

HK day 3, Disneyland HK

Warning! Heavy Picture ahead!

Day 3 is Disneyland day.

How to go there from my hotel, 10 mins walk to Times Square, which is connected to Causeway Bay MTR, transit in Central, change to Tung Chung line and alight Sunny Bay MTR, take Mickey Train to Disneyland resort. All in all is about 45 mins journey.

I called this, Mickey Train....

Reached quite early, pose in front of Disney gate

We reached there around 30 minute earlier. But lots of people queuing already! So kiasu one!

Na and Ken's going to Tomorrowland. They all ride space mountain and all the adult rides! I cannot play adult rides because of Giselle. So my gang's going to Fantasyland because all the rides are kid-friendly. This was BIG sacrifices to please Giselle especially on her birthday. Btw, my mom didn't play at all only carry all of our stuffs. What a big sacrifices, I shouldn't complaint, eh !

And then, the long awaited parade!

And then early dinner, to celebrate Giselle's birthday!

The Birthday Girl!

Birthday kid's meal

Ermm we didn't stay until fireworks because the weather was so cold and drizzling non-stop. Forecast the fireworks will be cancelled, we went back home very exhausted! So that's that! Happy Birthday, my baby, Giselle!
