Love letter to my mommy

Hi everyone, my name is Giselle. I am 5 years old... I mean, 5 and a half years old. My birthday coming soon okie!??

I like to eat yogurt, ice cream, and chocolate. Actually I don't like to eat rice but mommy always said that rice is good for my body especially it will help to grow hair faster. Coz one day, I dream about becoming like Rapunzel! Or pretty girl who have long hair like my mommy!

Every time I saw my mommy doing her make up, I always curious and observe what she does, she always clips her eyelashes with the tool like scissors-kind and count out loud one, two, three. Both eyes. Then she used a wand-like, she told me it's mascara to make her eyelashes curly. She told me that I don't need to use that coz my eyelashes already curl and long. How she envy me coz of that! *snob face*
Then then when she went to toilet or kitchen, I quickly take her lipstick and stick it into my mouth....I mean my lips....then I take her blusher and apply to my cheek. Both cheek. And I happy. When my mum came back and learnt what I'm doing, she shouted at me and said her lipstick is very expensive and only adult can use it. Same goes to the blusher. So on the same day, she bought me a Hello Kitty lipstick for me and I loovvveee it very much. I applied like thousands times but when my mom asked me, I just said I only used two times only. Muahahaha.....

I like to go shopping with mommy coz she always buy me what I want. Sometime can sometime cannot. But most of the time, after I bargain such as I promise I'd be good girl, I'll always love her forever, and listen to her always. She squeak and buy me immediately. I like when my mommy do my hair, tie bun, tie ponytail, tie french-braid, or even just wearing hair band. Then after she does my hair, she tries to style her hair but end up only tie ponytail. Or just let her hair down. Then she tells me we are late we are late not enough time and rushing to Sunday school or the place that we wanna go.

When we meet someone, she always reminds me to call that person, aunty or uncle. Then they will reply, hello please call me jie jie or koko, okie!?? ....But still coz I always listen to my mom, I keep calling them aunty and uncle, muahahaha.....I love hanging out with them coz they always talk to me. They are friendly people, very lovely people, very pretty aunty and handsome uncle. But of course, I am the cutest amongst all. Ooohhhh, sometime they speak English but sometime they speak funny language which I don't understand. Mommy explained to me that she is Indonesian and speaks Bahasa. So I learnt a bit such as simple words like mandi, makan, jalan-jalan, pergi, orrrr.....Giselle cakep so does mommy also cakep, muahahaha.....

So overall I love my mommy very much. I always think of her every single day. Of course I have to think of her everyday because she always asks me all the time, "got love me anot, got think of me anot, got remember mommy anot", make me feel guilty or something like that. I love my mommy! *meow~ :-D

Thanks, Fefe aunt for taking lots of pics of me

I love taking pictures!

Day 2- Halong Bay

We wake up early morning, had a lovely breakfast in hotel, preparing for a long couch trip. Full stomach. Full of energy. Halong! Here we come!

Yummy breakfast

Me and Mel

Couch trip was around 4 hours plus. Seated all the way to Halong Bay was sooo tiring, I pity to those couch driver who have to drive everyday. I learnt compassionate on that day. :-)

Ooohh then we met another travellers, 4 women from Taiwan (they speak Mandarin and little English) and 3 guy from States (which obviously American English- speaking). Thanks to Joseph, who was very friendly to make a first initiative to kick a conversation with them. A heart that count, bro....Too bad the one that I like already have a girlfriend, muahahaha....kidding :-D

Reached there about lunch time. After we checked in, we proceed for lunch.

After lunch, we went to Cave of Surprise. or Surprise Cave. I don't know why it is named that way. But I'm quite surprise that actually this cave is one of the world heritage attractions by UNESCO.

On the way to the cave.

Mind the messy+ oily+ dull  face, please :-D

Us outside the cave

After cave visiting, we went to Kayaking. My first Kayaking experience. Ever. What I did is just paddle left and right. The rest...let the man do the job, muahahaha.....Thanks to Joseph who did a good job at directing and controlling kayaking boat. ooohhh and his patience heart, never scolded me when I stop paddling or start complaining :-D

Kayaking

Sunset

Tired and hungry, we back to our boat for dinner...OMG the beer and wine are very expensive there. Beer was like VND 45,000,  while you can get same beer at price VND 8,000 in Hanoi city.... And the wine, starting from VND 400,000++  *sounds bitterness* But we got a complimentary beer from our tour guide. yeah!

Cheers! Bia Hanoi!

Sorry Ike, but Mel and me look good here
:-D

Prawn

After dinner, jeng jeng jeng.....karaoke time!

But it only lasted about an hour or so....coz the jukebox sucks and we only get to sing old English songs :-(   No Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift's song. Ooohhh and the sotong fishing was quite disappointed. Sotong people tried to catch sotong...I supposed... I think after we tried (very hard) in about 15 mins, all completely gave up and felt shit, it was a waste of time....
So we went to upper deck to savour wine, played truth or dare with other travellers, and dance Gangnam style wtf. It was crazy night and all tipsy/high. No worry, nobody ever jumped off the boat or  did something stupid. We were all safe and sound.

Cheers!

Okay that's all for day 2.

Ciao!

Hanoi trip- Day 1

Finally I got time to write this post. I have been busy with my work and house chores right after Vietnam trip. Now since I got spare time, stop watching Vampire Diaries and do blogging, please (talking to myself)

So here we go, Hanoi- Day 1.

From Singapore to Hanoi approximately took about 2.5 hours flight and we almost died from starvation. Yep, our flight was at early in the morning, we don't even have time to eat breakfast....or drink water....So we got no choice but to spend $15+ to have a proper meal for breakfast during the flight.
After a long flight, we reached Hanoi airport and proceed to check in our hotel, Meracus hotel. As usual, welcome drinks, wet towels, friendly, and well-informative staffs are welcoming us right after we checked in. Let's the photos self- explanatory.

Welcome drinks ><  Business card

Superior Room

Laptop with WiFi

After checked in to our room and explore every corner of the room, we proceed to have a quick lunch and browsing around the city. By foot. Well, it was so packed and jammed by the vehicles and people. We've gotta watch out every time crossing the road or even walking by the road side. Suddenly remind me of my hometown. Errmm...for lunch, I forget what is the name of the restaurant but they served yummy beef- steak and rice and noodle. And it just opposite of the restaurant selling Pho, a local Vietnamese noodle.

With a full stomach, we went browsing around the city.

Bun Cha Hang Manh
aka place sells spring rolls

Vietnam springrolls
it's super yummy but very oily

St. Joseph Cathedral
St Joseph Cathedral is a Catholic Church but they closed down and not allowed visitors to go inside. So we just cam-whoring in front of this building. This church is so huge authentic which attracts lots of tourists. After that, we continue to Hoan Kiem Lake, just a few minutes walking away.

Personally I think, I'd prefer exploring a new area/ country/ city by foot, so that I'd get to know and interact directly with people, landmark, or building surrounding the area. Plus the weather in Hanoi is so cooling. We've been walking non-stop but not even shed a single sweat. Yep, maybe a bit sweat in the armpit :-D So the weather is pretty good, it's not too hot for us to walk under the sun, but not too cold for us to eat ice-cream by the lake.

Hoan Kim Lake
Many locals hang out here.

Feels like in another mystical world

Red Bridge to the temple

Thien

Monument
I don't even understand the meaning of the word

Lake View Cafe

Lake View Cafe is like 4 or 5 storey.
Very tall and old authentic building.

Egg-Coffee or Coffee-Egg!??

And after that, we proceed to go for dinner. Go to Hanoi wouldn't be complete without trying Pho (pronounce as Fe) meaning noodle rice vermicelli.

Yummy!
But I'm struggling to finish all (especially the meat) coz of my braces

For second round, they all went for a supper nearby hotel area, the street vendor selling lots of foods and drinks on the side of the road. I just chilled out in the room. Knowing that tomorrow is gonna be a long day to Halong Bay I decided to sleep early.

Mel, Yuli, Bams

Okay that's all.

Be right back for next post. Day 2 in Hanoi/ Halong Bay.
