Butterfly Tattoo

Yeah! I finally got my first tattoo! After think about it for quite long time...

Finally I DID IT!

Today I visited tattoo studio, located at The Riverwalk, Clarke Quay. Called the owner, Mr Whopper Tan to arrange a consultation ONLY. Well....I swear I just intended to go for a quick consultation...end up I did a tattoo there...:-D

So first, I showed him the picture that I like, A cute pretty butterfly in blue colour. I asked him what colour should I choose because I have an original tanned skin. He recommends me orange/ red colour which matches my skin perfectly. On the other hand, blue or purple are more suitable for fair skin....Sadness...:-(
After hearing that, I super duper confuse coz initially this is my first time doing tattoo...I just want to have a nice and beautiful blue/ purple tattoo or at least simple plain black tattoo....
Cut story short, I decided to trust him since he is a tattoo-expert...So let's get started! :-D

First, his tattooist/ apprentice-so called, Ms Apple Qu, took my butterfly photo and draw it into the tracing paper. After finish drawing the exact size that suitable for me, she prepared all the inks and equipments, asked me to confirm/ check that all needles are brand new/ still unused, etc...then place the tracing paper and draw the pattern into my skin.

Make out the pattern on my skin
I have to bun my hair up

Oh dear! It's freaking painful.

The bigger needle is, the more painful it is!
I was quite nervous for the first few minutes, especially after hearing the rrrr (needle/ machine/ whatsoever) sounds. But after that, the pain is quite durable. I didn't chickened out nor runaway at that time, okie....
Brave girl!

Colouring time

I think for the whole entire process of tattooing, this is the most painful part! So freaking pain. I feel like a huge razor slicing out my skin bit by bit, literally.... I can feel the push and vibrate of the needle, constantly overlapping poke into the same area of my skin. Hell!

Me: Is it finished yet?
Apple: No...

5 mins later...

Me: Is it finished yet?
Apple: No...
Me: Sigh!

Ta daa! a beautiful butterfly on my back!
After an hour of suffering

After-Care:
Soon after, she wrapped my tattoo to keep it clean from any dust/ water, make it dry completely. I got some gel to apply as well. As per Whopper, it will be a constant itch overtime due to healing process and I've got to bear myself not to scratch it out. The whole healing process will take about 2 weeks. If I feel dissatisfied, I can go back again to do touch up (most likely, hehehe...)

Some people say, once you done a tattoo, you will become addicted to it and will do more and more tattoos in the future. I just wondering to myself, will I? won't I?
Maybe I prefer to treat myself for a Dorothy perkin's dress or a good meal at ramen shop?

Ps: Thanks to Mel, who accompanied me today. Some so-called- a good small talk to distract me from the pain. :-D
Thanks to Apple, to entertain the annoying me, keep on throwing silly questions, Is it finished, Is it finished, every 5 mins. LOL.

Walking with God everyday.

Have you ever thought like this? You feel a Holy Spirit/ tremendous magical feeling on Sunday service. then soon after, it is just gone within the next day?

Yes I did. Many times.

And I feel very bad about that.

Feel bad that I put my God in Sunday service only …I decided to bring the Holy spirit out of the church. Pls don’t get me wrong, I mean I intend to involve Him in my whole everyday life. Not only Sunday.
In my deepest heart, I really want/ need to walk my life with Jesus. Involve Him in every aspects of my life, Every day. Every circumstances. Everything. But still, tell ya, It is easier to be said than to be done.

So this morning I did some little prayer to God to ask for His help. Do me a favor for a constant reminder, and beg ask Him to walk with me TODAY. From the minute I wake up until the minute I go to sleep. I ask for His blessing throughout the day, too... Amen.

Jeremiah 15:16 When your words came, I ate them. They were my joy and my heart’s delight. For I bear your name, Lord God almighty.

Ps: Okie next chapter, how to be joyful ( in every circumstances) in the Lord’s name?
this is my personal homework…. will share it to you, next time :-D

ohhh I just realized I forget to put *label* on my recent post. :-(

Four simple steps to the flawless face. By Laura Mercier.

Step 1: Prime the skin.
Primer is used before applying foundation. The purposes are to create the smooth base of skin, a perfect canvas for make up application. As a result, make up will last longer throughout the day.

Step 2: Foundation.
A good foundation should cover the impurities of the face such as blemishes or big pores, but at the same time, create look as natural as possible. Remember to apply foundation around neck area also to avoid a *mask* look.

Step 3: Conceal.

Wisdom Tooth

Today, is the day that I have to say good bye to my wisdom tooth. In Bahasa, is called as Gigi Geraham Bungsu.

Wisdom tooth usually appear between 17 to 25 years old. It's the last teeth to come through, just right at the back of gum line. Most adult normally have wisdom tooth. Some of them will experience discomfort because the tooth becomes impacted, growing out of the gum line, make the gum swollen, redness, or even worst, infection.

The symptoms are sore gum, severe ulcer, constant pain at the back of the mouth just right behind molars, jaw pain when you open your mouth/ eat/ speak, headache, and earache.

The Dentist Terror.

Having these above symptoms awaken me that I do really have an impacted wisdom tooth growing in my gum. After a quick search of Google, I decided to visit dentist AT ONCE.

I decided to book an appointment with Q & M Dental Surgery @ Hougang Mall. After consultation, my dentist confirmed that this wisdom tooth is an impacted tooth, growing backward (that is why my gum sore and pain), and need to be removed immediately. If its not removed, it will prolong my suffering, as it will be continue to swell and sore, the worst, gum-infection.

Without having a second thoughts, I do consent for tooth-extraction. Then my dentist explained the process of tooth-extraction. He will at first, perform x-ray to see the position of the root, then inject both side of gum with anaesthetic. Once anaesthetic kicked in, he will perform the extraction. There is a chance of tooth might be cracked or chipped during extraction process. If this happens, we have to go for minor surgery.

Thank God, the tooth extraction is a complete success. My wisdom tooth completely removed without cracked/ chipped scenarios. All entire process cost me 150 bucks.

Wisdom tooth cost me $150

After- Care: Right after extraction, I cannot eat/ speak fluently for an hour, until the bleeding stop completely. I've been taking pain-killer to reduce the pain.
These few days, I have to be extra care, extra gentle, when doing teething-activity. Brush, rinse, and eating soft foods. Until the gum healing completely.

Ps: I hope by extracting out my wisdom tooth, I can be more wisdom!?

Marutama Ramen at The Central

Today, as a celebration of my bonus and increment *soon...ahem ahem...*  Me and Melisa went out to Marutama Ramen for a lunchie....

Marutama Ramen is located at The Central @ Clarke Quay, third floor. Look out for a ramen shop which has basketball-with-a-mole- sign.
The ambience is very traditional Japan-style. Even the cooker is a Japanese. There is a menu-board which caught my eyes...

Menu- board in Japanese....beer for $7 so expensive!?

Their service is the best. The waiters always look busy serving the customers here and there. They even shout to the chefs for menu ordering. Our food came just a few minutes after we ordered. Very good service!

 Aka Ramen $ 15, add Tamago $ 1.50

The noodle ( I think) is just a normal noodle but it very smooth and tender.
The soup is superb! The soup base is oily and rich. I think I can ask for more noodle, please....

Gyoza $ 5

The gyoza is so so....I don't really like it...I think they should put more meat rather than veggie. I'm a meat eater  :-D

Overall is good. I'll surely come back to patronize this shop again. High recommended!
