Yeay! quick one...been busy with Christmas celebration here and there...eat and play...have a festive celebration! Feel blessed with this holiday season.

-7 Dec-
was my DnD this year! Well, the DnD theme this year is The Night at Museum (for those who watched the movie before, the movie starred Ben Stiller and Amy Adams) and I dressed up as Pocahontas aka Red Native Indian...I didn't win anything too bad not even the constellation prizes but overall we had fun and let our hair down. Let's get loose!
I just realised not much photos taken coz we all busy talking, chit-chatting, socializing, whatever the reasons are, we had so much fun!

Me and Mel did a little bit of shopping at Fair Price, for our X'mas goodies bag! We did it last year so we decided to shop together again this year. Basically we both bought the same chocolates and snacks and share the cost :-D

X'mas goodie bags
This year theme is gold wrapping paper

-14 Dec-
I received a statement of account from Citibank and found out they charged me $150 for card membership fee renewal. I gone berserk and complaint so harsh that I'm not going to pay for this and will cancel this credit card, etc...end up, they waived the annual fee for this year but for next year most probably I need to call again for fee-waiver... I don't really use Citibank credit card anyway. Maybe I will cancel it very soon.

-18 Dec-
Yeay! I got my bonus! It's time for budgeting plan and left some for tithing. Tithing is my big struggle yet I'm glad that I've overcome it *sometime*, I will do one special post about this very very soon.
Oohh for this X'mas, I don't even have time to shop a dress for myself, so online shopping is the solution! Found this LexiLyla.com (online shop owned by Dawn Yang) and they did a good job. Test water, I bought a dress $25 (include delivery charges) and my order reached 4 days later. The second time I shopped 2 dresses (cost me $70) and it reached less than a week. Luckily all the sizes fits me so perfectly well so most probably I will shop again another time :-D

-22 Dec-

Morning: went to nail shop to get my nail done. X'mas theme!

Noon time: watched The Hobbit: An Expected Journey. It was a spectacular movie! I love to see Frodo Baggins again ( in the very first beginning of the movie, yeah! Elijah Wood so cute!!) and Gollum!! My precioussss......LOL. As far as I can remember, I read The Hobbit book when I was in secondary school back in Jakarta. So a bit forget la how's the detail of the story. But this movie is exactly interpreted the same as in the book (if my memory serves me well) . I can't wait for the next one!

Then after that, we met other friends for a dinner and quick shopping in orchard. I bought the X'mas hat accessories cost $5.

Snap this picture in front of Tangs Orchard

We had so much fun. Playing games, eating X'mas dinner, spreading joys by giving small goodie bag to the passerby nearby the house, carolling, decorating X'mas log cake and so much more.

Day 4- Trung Vit Lon

Okay continue, so after we reached Hanoi and checked in to the same hotel previously (Meracus Hotel).  We went to shopping in the nearby area. Frankly, when you shopped in the big group, the amount spent was like million Dong. But those shops only accept cash. Yeah, we are millionaire (in Hanoi).... LOL

Like T-shirt only VND 45,000 + , after we bargained of course. We shouldn't have brought a lot of clothing since the clothes there are so cheap.  So VND 45,000 converted is like SGD 2.70 or 3.00!? Suddenly I regret why did I only buy 3 pieces....:-(

Busy shopping

Kopi Luwak ala Vietnamese

Souvenirs shop

For dinner, we ate this noodle on the side road.
Feels like Jakarta!

Don't know whats the name but it super yummy

go second round for cocktail/ beer session

Day 4 was actually fear factor day!

We ate this Trung Vit Lon, which half-hatched duck egg boiled. Errmmm meaning duck egg, half yolk and half embryo, then boiled, then eat with the salt and vinegar. Got raw veggie and ginger also. We take it to the next level, by eating this alien with our empty stomach. hahaha, It was early in the morning, the only time that we left, before we had our yummilicious breakfast at hotel and fly off to Singapore.  oh gosh!

price VND 5000-7000

In the airport

Our last photo in Hanoi airport

Okay, that's the end of Hanoi holiday. Guys, what is the next destination? :-D

Braces- update

Yeay! as you can see in the title.... this post is about the update of my braces...about me adjusting myself to the braces, pros and cons.

1. Pros:
As the braces push my front teeth and the whole entire mouth to the back, so does it resulting my define jaws and define nose-shape as well. I feel like my nose is getting sharper and definer ( I mean more define la) and wow...I lovveee it! Getting younger look ( I hope!? )

Lose weight. I've been down with my eating habit. Only can eat soft foods such as porridge, yogurt, fish (steamed one), soup, ban mian, and I've been avoiding eating all junk rubbish food especially soda and sugary drinks. It'll somehow contributing to my weight loss. Love it to the max. In order to keep my body healthy, I still gym-ing at least once a week.

2. Cons:
Constant pain after tightening braces. Normally my teeth will be damn sensitive for about a week, then after that, the sensitivity will be subsided over time. By the time I feel that I can finally eat well then the next week I need to visit dentist again for another tighten appointment. *sweat*
I now have to eat damn slow ok? Got one time I ate with Ledy and Yanting at Din Tai Fung and my wire broke when I ate the pork chop, hahaha...lucky only one broke, muahahaha...*shy face* Then as I typing this I just broke another wire after eating crispy fried fish at Aston. *sweat* That's why knowing that I am now a slow eater, I always focus on eating and finishing my meal every time eating with someone/ friends.

Constantly need to clean my mouth after eating. Regardless eating big or small, now I have a habit to clean (brush teeth or at least rinse mouth). So ashamed rite, if I don't clean it, then I smile, just to get other people to find out that there some veggie or meat stuck on my braces. :-( In short, bring my toothbrush and toothpaste to everywhere I go is a must-must!

Okay, that's all. Another 20 months to go! Wish me luck!

Day 3 Halong- Hanoi trip

Day 3 at Halong- Hanoi

Wake up early in the morning, just to found out that the sky damn cloudy thus we're not able to see sunrise. End up we did tai chi, a Vietnamese tai chi, instructed by the ship captain. Sorry but the movement was damn funny I can't help it but keep giggling all the time.

Halong at morning+ cloudy day

This is me trying to be a bit *Zen*
:-D

After lovely breakfast on the ship, we went to fish farming where lots of fishes, prawns, lobsters, oysters, and other seafood sold...We took lots of pictures (ahem) instead of buying seafood. What a cheapskate travellers are we :-D Ohhhh on the way there we took lots picture in the ship deck as well.

Guys do gangnam style
:-D

Okay enough of our faces already...here's breathtaking scenery of Halong!

Let's play Spot The...use your imagination!

Spot the gigantic snail

Spot the wolf
Clue: from behind POV
Spot the tortoise

Frank said, these stones are two dogs kissing each other. It's true.
Use your imagination, please

Spot the....* I don't know what shape are these stones!?*

Spot the....!???

Spot the...*okay, I give up!*

Spot the....just enjoy the scenery.

Can't you imagine living in the house floating on the bay
Yes, I can imagine...
Go to school...swimming. Go to neighbour...swimming. Go to market....swimming.
Oh they must be a good swimmer. LOL.

Okay, they using boat to travel.

Here's fish farming
But we didn't even bother to buy anything. *cheapo*

Captain Debora onboard, hehehe

After camwhoring here and there, we came back to the ship and made Vietnamese spring rolls... Lazy to find/upload the pics.

Then we had lunch and check out, continue to our journey to the pier and board minivan to Hanoi city again.

Okay, for those who will travel to Halong I recommend to drop down your expectation/ standard to the extreme and fill in the feedback form as pretty as possible. Thumbs up, if you can bullshit and write their customer service was excellent, very attentive, very kind wtf. Well, the cruise company stupidly judge their staff's performance using this feedback form, written by us (travellers). And I suspect it'll somehow affect their increment as well. *faint. They should use KPI or appraisal...what!? Got study business management anot!?  *arm fist*   Yep, they can get the *pretty nice nice* feedback form as they wanted but nothing could stop me to telling the truth in my own personal blog! Take it or leave it!

That's it for today, I will continue again tomorrow. Now just left Day 3 evening time (most of us did shopping like mad) and Day 4 was actually fear factor eating Trung Vit Lon and back to Singapore. More details in the next post! Sayonara!
