Marina Mandarin Aquamarine buffet

Thanks to my boss (ahem ex boss) who kindly treated us for dinner buffet at Aquamarine, Marina Mandarin last Tuesday.

Aquamarine is restaurant which concept international halal buffet, expect mouth-watering cuisine such as chill crab, grilled beef-steak, sushi, and pasta cheese (from various country) with on top of sweet desserts.

I'm not sure about lunch buffet price. For dinner buffet its $70++ but there are always ongoing credit card promotion of 15% total bill. Major credit card such as UOB, Citibank, Standard Chartered, etc...more info, here

There are lot more like satay, nasi briyani, mutton-steak, pasta, and much more but I'm not tempting enough, I'm more a raw-meat eater than carnivore :-D

Okay, I'm a little bit skeptical about mask, especially the mask which comes in sheet form which I found it's a bit expensive. Moderate price range of sheet mask is about $3- $5 per sheet/ per use. Hence, I prefer cream or gel mask which also expensive but can be used umpteen times or can last for at least 6 months. But now I ate my own word, because....

How to use:

1. Clean face thoroughly, apply toner to refine skin for better absorption.
2. It's optional but I like to put my mask in the fridge for 5-10 minutes then open it and apply it to my face. Feel cool and calm sensation.
3. Hold it to 15-20 minutes while you can rest. It's recommend to lay down with the face up, when using mask, in order to avoid gravity.
4. Take off the mask, massage the extra essence for full absorption
5. Continue with normal skin care routine.


Best time to use in evening/ night time before sleep.  After that continue with the skin care routine. Next morning, wake up with glowing and radiant skin! Lovely! :-)

The wisest decision ever when it comes to try a new product is, to purchase a product kit.
The reason why, because 1. Product kit comes in the small size. 2. It's cheaper but yet it contain of all the step to step products (from facial wash to masque) 3. You may have time to notice if your skin suitable or react to the products and decide whether want to continue to use it anot.

Friendship is earned and cultivated.

Cousin's visit - Last December

Last December, my uncle and family came to Singapore for a short holiday. My cousin, Iling had braces for like 3 years already, and still wearing it till now. Oh she is in her final year of high school and going to be 17 this year.

I wonder how lucky Jakartanian nowadays. Especially kids, attending prestigious school, they come and go by car, see dermatologist for face treatment, do braces and all the stuff. Not to mention mall- hopping every weekend just to shopping, watch movie, and hang out with friends...So fortunate these kids nowadays.

Okay, back to the topic that matters me most, braces.

When I asked her, " how's your braces so far?", She replied, "Good!". Then I asked, "did the braces make you cannot eat or sore gum or lose weight? or at least giving you problem to eat?", She replied, "yes a little bit, but still can eat as per normal, she didn't lose weight at all"....

What....How come I encounter loads of discomfort and pain and suffering, while she, spent 3 years and still on braces right now, feel nothing. Oh maybe the age gap different, or hormone different, or just me too sensitive...*arm fist*

Okay, indeed they love Giselle very much....to the extent they taught Giselle how to play scissor-paper-stone in Bahasa!....Gammm suit...wakakaka....then taught her this school kid's play, domikado, kacang kacang panjang, gam suit, and all the kid's stuff. I play along, too.

Sometime being an adult, we often forget how to have fun with kids, living in our adult world and difficult to connect with them. Been busy with our daily work, responsibility, and money. So pathetic.

So I can say, playing with them makes me feel so young. I felt so young on that day. Yeay! Till next time!

New Year 2013 Resolutions

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Continuance from yesterday post! As I have already reviewed my last year's resolutions, proud of the achievements so far and accepted the failures and mistakes plus learnt from experience.  So now it's time to make a new year resolutions, yeah!!!

I've gotta be fast as there will be a thanksgiving lunch at Yanting house today.

These are guidance to make goals/ resolutions:

S- Specific
M- Measurable
A- Attainable
R- Relevant
T- Time- based.

So here are my new 2013 resolutions:

Health:

1. Eat healthily, more fruits and *soft chewable* veggie. No more soda but okay with ice lemon tea and  lime juice :-D Oh I've gotta cut down beer to avoid beer-belly wtf.
2. Exercise at least once a week. Sign up yoga or cardio!?
3. Sleep early at least 8 hours.
4. Take supplements. (vit C or vit E)
5. Medical check up once a year. Keep the numbers favourably.


$$$:
1. Save monthly. MUST.
2. Recycling clothes. MUST.
3. Spend thriftily/ wisely. MUST.


Carrer:
1. Salary increment. Gosh, don't they know that all prices increase right now!? even floss bread at breadtalk now is $1.70!!!
2. Career enhancement.
3. Anger management.



Spiritual:
1. Tithing monthly.
2. Learn WOG by reading Christianity books or discussion.
3. Build relationship to God and God's people. Learn compassionate towards others.
4. Continue to guide Giselle to be Godly lovely kids :-)
5. Outreach to those lost souls. And bless surrounding people.
6. Learn how to pray in English.



Education:
1. Enroll Japanese Advance course I @ JCSS (11 months)



Relationship:
1. Holiday with family (HK Disneyland, here we go!)
2. Keep in touch with mom and dad. Cherish their love and support. Pray for them.
3. Cherish the new community and broaden wings to those poor and unfortunate.



Beauty:
1. Hydrates hydrates and hydrates. Fix the broken capillaries and oily combination skin.

3. Finish my first year braces! still long way to go.
