Rambling time.

It’s time for….Rambling…

Here I am, sitting with my laptop on my lap, listening to new Taylor Swift album, 1989. And ready to write whatever things pops up on my mind, and I don’t care about grammar, topic, flow of the paragraph, and just…talking/ rambling typing .

Thanks in advance for those who still keen to follow my blog and read this post.

1989 Taylor Swift!

Let's get started!

1. Serial TV Marathon is back!

Yeah! The Walking Dead is back! Plus The Vampires Diaries and The Originals, too! Love love!

So now my spare time filled with serial TV marathon. I don’t know about you but I really do fancy magic cum supernatural cum apocalypse kind of drama rather than uhm...love story. Not to mention, I hate horror movie (especially Thailand, Japan, Asia horror movie, coz I can’t sleep for few nights after watch that) but I do love those zombies, dracula, and vampire thingy…

Why I do like zombies and vampires? Coz I find it they are cool! I loves vampires, who can live hundreds years, stay young forever, and those superpower, etc etc etc. The downside is, whatever they feel will be heightened and well, they thirst of blood but actually they never mentioned (at least on the serial TV) what kind of blood, rite? I can just drink pig’s blood or cow’s blood, the one during confinement period so I’m qualified to be vampires. Hehehe...

Ok, I don’t want to be zombies with all rotten and smelly, think about the brain 24/7 that kind of stuff but let’s talk about The Walking Dead, I think if our world really fallen apart and we all infected with Zombie viruses, I think I knew somehow,  how to survive. I will hide and stock up all the can food, water, batteries, medicines, sanitary pads, and all basics necessities, and then if I have privileges to predict the zombie apocalypse before it happens, I will invest on a good weapon, be it sword or handgun, to protect myself. And hey, in order not to get bitten by zombies, we can use bubble wrap, wrap it around neck and limbs area. Wait…bubble wrap will create noise once poked out, and it will attract zombies…how about those plastic wrap instead, the one to use for slimming session!?
Oh not to mention, must stock up tampon and sanitary pads, too. Can’t imagine having period in a zombie apocalypse world whereby water is scarce and we don’t even have proper bathroom to clean up ourselves. Oh ya talking about what, must stock up water filter, too.  I don’t want to die because drinking poison water in a zombie apocalypse world. It’s just doesn’t make sense.

Ok, enough for serial TV…now move to another topic, shall we?

2. Teatox Program...again!?

Well, remember few months ago I tried the Teatox program? Well, not only I lose body water but lose only 2 kg. haiz. So now I’m doing it again... Today is my 3rd day and I can feel my stomach less bloated and always fart whenever I drink the night cleanse tea. It does really cleanse my bowel (plus gas...ahem) and I love it as long as I can go toilet every day!  But the morning tea…well, I can feel it makes me less appetite. I can go thru my day w/o any tea break now! Hope this habit develops even after I finished the program!

3. My niece...

On another note, my sis’s is having a baby girl! It’s a girl!!! I can’t imagine how to love another baby except than my own but I’ll love her and buy her more toys!

I pray so that she will inherit big and double eyelid eyes (like me) and slim figure, don’t tell me that chubby baby is so cute, ok, sorry, they might be at high risk of obese but also, don’t be too skinny, too….
I  promise I will pay visit more often now to see my niece, hehe… so excited !

Btw, my sis will be due in December, same month as Giselle’s birthday. So I got an excuse to bring Giselle go home to see parents in Jakarta cum birthday celebration…Welcome to parenthood, sis!

Hmm… whatelse ah!?

4. StandChard Marathon.

Oh ya, now I’ve been practicing for marathon run. My speed is 8 mins to finish 1 km. so meaning, in order to run 10km, I need at least 1,3 hours, I mean, I can run faster…but not run longer…my stamina is poor let alone my count of breath…I really need to practice at least twice a week, 3-4 km per session. I know it sounds crazy but in order not to “die” during marathon, I need to slowly build up my stamina!

4.4 km in 31 mins!

Not only practicing running, I’ve been eating clean, too. Buidling stamina must be from inside out also, rite? Eating clean meaning Eating salad and all those greens!
Stupid me, I’ve just found out those buying raw ingredients in supermarket is much cheaper rather than buying in salad shop! And talking about supermarket, I know Fair Price will be much cheaper if you want to buy salad vegetables but Cold Storage offers more variety...Then adding some croutons will add more calories so normally I will opt up those things. To add texture, I add some sausages or eggs so at least fill the stomach to last for half a day.

5. Jap progress.

So next week, it will be my last day of Jap class. After that the rest of the classmate will self-study to take exam on Dec. While me, well…since I missed out the registration period so I’m planning to buy some textbooks to do self-study at home…and preparing myself for…holiday! hahaha no la, I'll be taking the exam on next July 2015....still long way to go...

These are textbook from Sensei, the first one $59 so expensive!

And yep, to cure my heartache, I’ll be going holiday on Dec! The destination is still secret but really is  an impromptu one.  Spend quite a fair bit because we’re taking a good airline (not budget one, ok) but we booked budget hotel to compensate the expensive flight ticket, hikxx….

I’ve been jotting down the shopping list and my plan is, bring basic necessities and buy more over there!

Conclusion...

Well, I think that’s about it. Thanks for reading this post and yeah, you’ve just wasted your 5 mins reading up this post and I’ve just wasted half an hour of my spare time, too...and now I regret, I could've just done something more productive such as…ermm...maybe teaching Giselle some maths homework!? Haih talking about productivity...

Ok, bye!

PMD Review. DIY Microderm at home

Yuhuuu!!!

I came back with PMD review!!!

Picture first!

What is PMD?

PMD is Personal Micro Dermabrasion System, It’s a beauty tool which performs Microdermabrasion, exactly the same as in doctor’s office. So if you know about Microderm or Microdermabrasion, this thing is the DIY tools that you can do it at home.

Benefit of Microderm

A bit of technical here, it is a non-invasive procedures to exfoliate skin and mild skin rejuvenation. Tons of benefits such as, unclogging pores, clear acne thoroughly, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, shrink the appearance of pores, skin tightening, exfoliates skin, reduce pigmentation, until reversing the ice-pricked scar!

Well, for me, one of the benefits that I achieve so far is that, no more blackheads and whiteheads and more glowing radiant skin, I don’t even need foundation and concealer to cover up!

When you shedding the outer layer of skin, called as stratum corneum, the body will treat it as a mild injury and quickly speed up the process of renewing the skin cells. Moreover, whatever product or serum that you apply afterwards, it will be absorbed completely without left a trace!

Background

Remember when I told you that nowadays my skin is very sensitive, cannot go to beauty parlour to do normal facial anymore? Now my skin is very fragile and sensitive, thus even if I do the mildest and simplest extraction also cannot! My skin will either red or tear, then form a scab which takes few days to heal. Haiz…

So apparently, since I cannot do extraction anymore, I religiously use Biore Porepack to remove black and whiteheads (especially on the nose area). But the downside is, it takes too long to let it dry. And moreover this thing might not pick up the deepest blackheads and if I did twice, it will tear my skin and leave redness!

Microderm at office.

The next visit, I told my derma about it hence she recommend doing Microdermabrasion at office. At least do once every month. When she told me about it, I was like, oh ok, let’s give it a try. The first session is about 15-20 mins total and If I remember correctly it costs me about S$ 60 plus.

So there in the treatment room, I was lying on my back, and after remove all make up/ dirt with their special face wash and toner, there is this machine, like a big box attached to the cable, the handle (which like a stick to me) perform a suction when the machine on. So the doctor said that, not only to clean all the dirt, blackheads and white heads in the pores but it’s also distribute the aluminium oxide micro crystal onto your skin  hence it makes make the skin look radiant and young instantly.

But the downside of this treatment is:

1. Expensive. $60 for 15 minutes suction thingy on my face!? And sometime I feel like the area that they cover not really that thoroughly, they were not into details and just anyhow do one. Maybe I could do much better job than them since I know every single inch of my face very well.

2. A bit reddish on the first treatment, but after that the redness will be subside within 1-2 hours (for me, but some people may have less downtime)

3. Its sting when apply Vitamin C serum (for first time treatment)

4. For me personally, the doctor’s office is always packed and long queue.  Not to mention, must book appointment in advance and it’s so stressful because once I missed the queue number, need to wait and wait and wait, just to get 15 mins Microderm treatment!? I am loyal patient who always visit monthly and yet they don’t give a shit priority queue.

The discovery of PMD online

So after a good 2 session of Microderm at doctor’s office, which make me kind of nervous every single time.  It’s time for me to find beauty parlour that has Microderm service. But after a round of research, the price of Microderm treatment in the beauty parlour is at least $80-200 per session!?
I don’t understand why it’s so expensive!? Maybe the beauty parlour has advance Microderm machine, or they use gold instead of crystal (that’s explain high cost of the treatment), or maybe I’m just paying for additional service such as massage, good relaxation music, relaxing mask?  Honestly, I don’t need all the massage and all the stuff, what I need is the suction of that microdem device. LOL.

Then I found this brand, PMD, from Blair Juicystar07 youtube video, showing her advertise review PMD beauty tools and I was hooked, immediately! This is the tools that I wanted!!! Then I Youtube-ing it and found a tons of reviews from another blogger.

It is quite popular in the States, in fact, there are tons of online promotion of 25% discount coupon and free delivery locally. But I ain’t living in US and I, obviously jealous to the max coz cannot enjoy the promotion!  In addition, there is an online website offer to international delivery, but I’m a bit hesitant coz the freight cost really cost a bomb and the voltage/ plug is quite different from Singapore. And oh ya! No local warranty, too! So I avoided buying online even if it’s cheaper by few dollars…

Long story short,  I found this Clariancy website and drop email enquiry about the PMD product.

Yes, it is Clariancy Singapore! Within 3 hours’ time, they replied me with all the details that I wanted to know, price and stuff transparently! Talking about good customer service!

Good news, there was 10% discount in all Clariancy outlets; and the nearest one is at NEX Serangoon. So off I went to the outlets and bought it! Mission accomplished!

Unboxing and First time attempt

I did unboxing and my first attempt using PMD. But before that, there is a CD instruction to view, in fact, if you search in Youtube, there are tons of review, how to do, feedback, and all that stuffs about PMD. Interestingly, I learnt that this PMD is quite popular in the States.

First attempt, I recommend doing it during evening time, when the sun goes down and you would have more than enough time for the redness/ downtime to be subside. Moreover, after doing microderm, your skin will tend to be sensitive to the sun, so apply sunblock on the next day is a MUST. In fact, you have to always wear sunblock at all times during the day.

So after I cleaned my face and apply toner, I let it dry and start to set up my PMD device. It is so easy, just open up the cap, insert the blue disc, close the cap tightly, and then plug and on the device. At first, the device creates so much noise and it sounds so scary! But now I get used to it already, hahaha. And then try the device on my hand and thigh first, getting it familiarize, and gain more confidence and skill before going direct onto my face.

It is recommended to go max 2 times on the same area of skin; DO NOT hover and DO NOT stay at one place for long time. The key here is keep on MOVING and MOVING the device, do it in outwards/ upwards motion.

Immediately after that, my face a bit red and hot! I wait for few minutes before I washed my face with water to shed off the dead skin cells. Next, apply toner and serum for maximum absorption.  Then leave it overnight to let the skin rest and heal the redness. Next morning, I’m waking up to radiant and glowing skin due to the new skin cells appearance and maximum absorption from my serum! Yippie!

Price and Product Decription

Mine is a pink one, price is S$ 268.20 and 6 months warranty. Strictly no 1 to 1 exchange and the warranty only for repair the machine :-(

There are 4 colour of disc which as follows.

White disc is a training disc for first time user.

Blue disc is for beginner user who has sensitive skin.

Green disc is for advance people who have normal skin and comfortably using this device for quite some time.

Red disc is for those rough skin and trouble skin (such as ice-prick scar and big pores skin condition). Red one contains the most abrasive crystal and it is under supervision when buying the red one.

The disc can be used up to 2-3 times and it will be worn off after that. The disc replacement cost around $30 for the pack of 6 discs. I think it can last for a good 6 months or more, depends on the how often is the usage.

There are 2 caps total, the big cap, for body and the small cap, for face.
Do not use interchangeably! Follow the instruction very closely! Fail to do so, it may performs scarring or scabbing, and worst, permanent scar as this device is quite rough for sensitive skin.

The booklet said, it is recommended to use it once a week, or let it rest a week before the next treatment.  And then after using PMD, as it is shed off dead skin cells, it will maximise as much as 20 times the absorption of serum applied.

In conclusion, just read the instruction first and follow it thoroughly. But to know more, click here for more details.
