Hi guys,
It’s been two weeks since I’m trying Talika
eyelash serum. The full name is Talika Lipocils Expert.
The product claims to be effective to grow
more and thick eyelashes, in just 28 days!
I was like, seriously!?
So I
challenge myself to use it religiously for 28 days, day and night, and hope to see
the result soon...
When I use at night, I always have this
feeling my eyes so heavy then quickly want to sleep and call it a day. In
addition, day time, before I wear this serum, I always curl my eyelashes first
and then apply this serum. Without fail, it always weighs my lashes down. So I
can tell, the formula is heavy (but not thick consistency, though). It does weigh down
my eyelashes so I don’t think it’s good to primer the lashes before mascara
application. Hmm so far, after 2 week application, I can tell that my eyelashes
thicker but still no new baby lashes come out!
Ok I was wrong! At first, I thought the heavy formula couldn't really function as an eyelash primer but nope! I was completely wrong.
The key is to apply this serum, wait until it dries (could be 5-10 mins time) and then, curl with eyelash curler and then apply normal mascara. The eyelashes will pick up every single mascara's formula without fail, make it natural curly effortlessly. So must apply the serum first, then curl. Not the other way round.
It has quite unique wand, tip-sponge applicator and the bristle brush.
How to apply:
- Clean eyes, apply the tip sponge applicator directly onto the roots of the lashes, like you are applying eye liner. Then with the bristle brush, apply directly onto the lashes.
- Additionally if you want to use it as an eyelash primer, you can wait few minutes, then curl with eyelash curler, continue with your favourite mascara.
Ok, to give you a little bit of background. Actually I have naturally long eyelashes but it’s a bit coarse and not that curl plus it’s pointing downwards. Perfect combination, huh.
Every time I want to make it curl, I just have to snap it with Shu Uemura eyelash curler and then coat it tons of mascara which can last for the whole day.
But the downside is, if I wear heavy mascara, my eyes getting really dry but my eyelid oily hence as a result, it will create inevitably smudge and panda eyes in the end of the day.
And then, heavy mascara meaning heavy eyes, too! I don’t like the feeling of having a constant eye shit like 24/7 or whenever I wear mascara.
Not only that, the best part is, when removing those heavy duty/ water-proof/ smudge-proof mascara, I tend to be impatient and tugging and rubbing and scrubbing and do every cleaning-actions that I could name of, and then it result my lashes falls out pretty badly!
In conclusion, I can tell my lashes always falls easily (at least 1 or 2 pieces) every time I removed the mascara , so can you imagine if I do it every day, it’s like 1 eyelash X 7 days= 7 pieces of eyelashes fell weekly? If I do it for a full month then no more lashes in my eyes already!
Ok a bit drama here, women are very
complicated creatures, we always want to have a control of everything,
including the hair growth in our body.
Don’t believe? Ok give you example.
How many girls’ wishes that we can don’t have
growing hair on armpit and leg area? (That’s why we always shave that area
including pubic hair weekly, right!?)
How many times in a month, we always find
ourselves to pluck or trim the eyebrow, even spending dollars to make a trip
to Browhaus?
Ohhhh.... how I’d wish I could control the hair
growth in my body, then grow long long and curly curly eyelashes like a camel
but no hair on armpit and leg area, hahaha.
Ok, that's all. Thanks for reading.
