Yep, I'm back...finally. Long post and heavy pictures down the road! Sit back and enjoy!
As most of you read my post last week, our flight to Tokyo is midnight long-haul flight!
Meaning after office hour, we gotta rush to pack (OMG...I still have time to blog some more!) and then head to the airport. Reach airport quite early as a reflection of *kiasu Singaporean spirit, we checked in our luggage and browse around the duty-free shop. Sightseeing, browsing, aiming something (like perfume or cosmetics) to be bought back on the way back. Soooo guess we still got much time left, we decided to sit back and relax with a toast of bread! *ahem....called it supper before the flight, will ya?

Our flight from Singapore to Taipei via Scoot was around 4 hours. Then transit to Taipei just enough time to fill in our water bottle and empty our bladder to the nearest toilet, and then another flight to Narita, Tokyo for another 4 hours. Luckily it was night time flight so we just slept throughout the night....
Reached Tokyo the very next morning! I think we reached around 11 plus like that.
So there are lots of ways to go from Narita to town. The fastest one surely the most expensive one, Keisei Skyliner. We bought 1 way Keisei ticket plus 1 day unlimited access of Tokyo Metro Line cost
Y2600. I recommend taking Keisei line which fastest way down to Tokyo city. Can you imagine from Narita to town in less than an hour!? Oh ya, from Narita to Ueno took around 45 mins. Further info can be found
here.

Mak...my stomach looks bumpy here. :-(

Then checked into hotel. Small tiny room for the two of us. Aiya, I just wondering why there is a torch light in the corner there. For emergency or black out? Our hotel is
Horidome Hotel, located in just few minutes away from Kodenmacho station, Hibiya line.

View from our room |
We headed to Yoshinoya, just a few blocks away from our hotel. Actually we don't give a shit about the size of the room hotel. It's Tokyo hey, not like China or Indonesia which has bigger space or island. The most important thing is, the location must be quite strategic. Nearby station, amenities, eating places, and etc...
|
Ordered Beef Bowl
well...it's taste the same as beef bowl in Yoshinoya Singapore and Jakarta.
Maybe the beef meat a little bit juicier!? or It's just taste so heaven after a long night flight!?
Y 380 only. |

Spot these two school girl chatting in Japanese.
So cute I can't even stand not to take their pics.
|
Then next destination, Ameya- yokocho. It's a bustling market sells lots of foodie, tidbids, souvenirs, clothing, shoes, accessories, and even...fresh seafood...you name it, they have it! Nearby station is Ueno (Hibiya or JR line) or Okachimachi (JR line)

Since we are in the Ueno area, must well visit Ueno park....too bad by the time we went there, all sakura withers. So we just get to see normal tree with the boring *green leaves. And some left over Sakura either still on the branches or floor. But it's ok, looking at the temple alone makes me the happiest person in the world (at least at that moment).
Okay now flower time!!!
|
Some sakura waiting for us before it withers.
Thanks God |

And since we still have much time....we headed to Tokyo Tower!

It was dinner time when we finished off the Tokyo Tower trip. So without further due, we ate ramen at nearby shop. Lucky us, the friendly Japanese owner shop, knowing that we are two foreigners who don't know how to order ramen properly at Japanese restaurant. He served us the ramen first, and then teach us how to use the ramen vending-machine, located just on the right side of the entrance. Actually it's very easy. Just see how much ramen you intend to order, put money (notes or coin), and select button. Like vending machine terminology.
