Phuket- Day 3

Take a deep breath...okie...day 3!

Day 3:  Phi Phi Island tour.

Woke up very early today. Still yawning and snoozing around the bed, I dragged myself to bathroom and take a quick shower. My body was very tired but my heart still feel very excited towards today's tour. Here we go Phi Phi Island tour journey, Start!

We were fetched by mini van at around 7am in the morning, the van was quite cosy though the driver ( no idea who is the driver's name) drove very quickly as we need to fetch another tourist in different hotels, too. After like about 30 minutes driving, we finally reached Royal Phuket Marina.

Royal Phuket Marina

First destination: Hong Island (Ko Hong)

The journey to Hong Island was like an hour by speedboat. Reached there, we were told that we can go swimming and snorkeling in the nearby area. The water was very cold and calm. There supposed to have some wonderful deep and shallow water coral scenery but there was nothing much to see as the coral was already messed/ broken up. First time snorkel, I don’t really know how to use its diving mask. Initially when I swim, I tend to make a bubble through mouth/ nose in the water. Using snorkel mask, there is no way to make a bubble through mouth/ nose as we only can breath in and out through 1 pipe. Well, it took me few minutes to figure out how to use properly. Oh, this where I got bruises on my leg, too...What an experience!

Second destination: Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai)

It almost took 1.5 hours to reach Bamboo Island. Although I have taken travel pill in the morning, I still got sea sickness and throw up for quite a bit. Bloody hell this was the first time I experience sea sickness! Well, reached Bamboo Island, not feeling good, I strolled and enjoying the sea breeze by myself while other friends cam-whoring like crazy. Feel bored, I chatted with our tour guide, Mr. M....Yeah forget to mention our friendly tour guide's,  Mr. M....He is quite kind and friendly man, very chatty and very informative, too. He shared how he loves sea so much and always guide travellers (like us) around island. That is why travelling by boat for him, is like his butter and bread everyday!

Third destination: Lunch break at Koh Phi Phi Don Island.

Fourth destination: Koh Phi Phi Don: Second snorkelling.

Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest and most populated island. On the other hand, Koh Phi Phi Leh is the second largest island with no population there. To see the interactive map, click here here. This island came to worldwide prominence when Koh Phi Phi Leh was used as a location for The Beach starred Leonardo DiCaprio. Lots of breathtaking scenery while we speed-boating. Here are the snapshots:

Snorkel in the middle of sea

Fifth destination: Monkey Beach

There was nothing much to see rather than MONKEYS...Nothing impressed me, so let's go to the next destination!

Sixth destination: Viking Cave

The Viking Cave is located in Koh Phi Phi Leh. A sea-level cave filled with bird nests, this cave is protected by government so strictly no visitor allowed.

Bird's Nest Farming

Seventh Destination: Maya Beach

Continuing our journey to Maya Beach. The most well-known The Beach was filmed here and I am so excited to witness its beautiful sands and scenery with my own eyes. A lot of breathtaking steep limestone cliff on the way to Maya Beach.

Maya beach is the most favourite beach ever. White fine sands...Huge giants cliff surroundings...Clear blue water....sea breeze...Make me take a real deep breath and said how lucky I am to be there. Summer breeze, yeah!

All of us- Maya Beach

Last Destination: Koh Phi Phi Don and dinner time

We separated from the tour and take fisherman boat to Koh Phi Phi Don island. The journey took about 45 minutes and I really like this ride rather than the speedboat. Here I can see lots of steep cliff and enjoy sea breeze...No more sea sickness coz the boat run very slow :-D

Reached the island, we soon proceed to Phi Phi Hotel and checked in our luggage. Without further due, we strolling to the beach and swimming. No picture taken here coz all of us swimming!
After swimming, we back to hotel and get prepared for the dinner. The dinner was at Tonsai Seafood restaurant and the seafood was very nice. Here are the snapshot:

 White wine Clam

 Spicy Green Oyster

 Black Pepper Crab

Garlic and Butter Fried Fish

After dinner, the guys proceed to find a tour to James Bond island, which later we found out that we could not find any tour direct to James Bond from Phi Phi...so sad :-(   Then the girls went to massage. This time I tried Full Body Oil Massage in Tonsai Massage shop. It costs THB 350 per pax. After massage, we went back to hotel, home sweet home....

End of Day 3
